Penny
Well I finally made it to the blog! I have no idea what I will say but never lost for words for too long I'll try. Having just got over the last two essays I am not thinking about the 6,000 words as yet. I am more concerned about the practical. I cant think about anything else for too long or even sleep. I have plenty of ideas but they all seem to crumble into the heap of "done before, nothing new, very ordinary, not saying anything or boring". So I am plodding on. I am going to be in great danger of researching for too long and avoiding getting down to the business of making. OK well that's me for awhile. I think I'll go and paint instead.

Woo! Good to hear from you! So, am i right in saying that painting is playing a greater part in your 'thing' than you originally expected? Is there still going to be made elements, textile and things in it?
ReplyDeleteI think in the end (and i know it's an obvious thing to say but a difficult one to do) you should try to make the prac fit your own expression, rather than pushing an 'idea' or concept. I think just painting is the right approach. See what comes out, and then you can look into that to see what's there.
